Become A Member
The membership at the Church. at Bashford Manor consists of individuals who confess Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, have been baptized as believers, have indicated an acceptance of the church’s covenant, and have been accepted by vote of the church.
The process to become a member is twofold:
Be recommended to the church by the pastors.
Be voted upon by the members.
This two-step process is intended to reflect the balance of authority between the church leaders and the church as a whole that is modeled in the Bible, in passages such as 1 Timothy 3:4-5; 5:17; 5:1-3; Hebrews 13:17; Matthew 18:17; 1 Corinthians 5:4-5; and 2 Corinthians 2:5-8.
How to apply for membership:
During our Sunday morning service, there is a "time of invitation" just after the sermon. To apply for membership, come up to our pastor at the front of the worship center during this time of invitation, and let him know you would like to become a member. You will be provided with an application to fill out, and a minister will follow up with you further.
